in-house outreach

Through a number of in-house outreach programs, Trinity connects to our local community through love and service:

- Our Backpack Buddies program sends students from Gasden Elementary home with backpacks full of food for the weekend. The program is largely funded and volunteered by church members, and has been a successfully growing and rewarding program in our church for years.

- Our Christmas Breakfast event provides homeless citizens of Savannah with a delicious, hot meal on Christmas morning. This too has been a consistently successful and growing program at Trinity serving between 200-400 people every year!

- The most recent in-house ministry endeavor is our LGBT Friends & Family Network. This group holds meetings on the 2nd Friday of the month for parents, family members, and friends of LGBT persons. The purpose of the group is to offer a safe place of communication and support to better understand and love LGBT persons in our lives.

- The Interfaith Hospitality Network is a national organization with a Coastal Georgia branch. This wonderful organization offers numerous resources and services to individuals and families in need to help them succeed professionally and personally!

Community partnerships

Trinity UMC is happy to be an active community partner with several wonderful programs here in Savannah:

- Loop It Up Savannah, a community art program, led by Molly Leiberman, brings the world of art directly to Savannah's youth and families. Trinity offers our space, resources, and support to Loop It Up for various projects and meetings.

- The Savannah Children's Choir holds their Discovery Choir rehearsals each week at Trinity Church on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:00pm! We will also host the 2017 Savannah Children's Choir Spring Concert
