Rev. Wendy Hudson Murphy
Senior Pastor
Rev. Wendy Hudson Murphy is an ordained elder in the South Carolina Annual Conference and a lifelong United Methodist. Her growing faith was deeply shaped in her home church. During college at the University of South Carolina, she was involved with the Wesley Foundation campus ministry, and after graduation she spent three years as a young adult missionary through United Methodist Global Ministries, serving in India and Philadelphia.
A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, Wendy has served United Methodist churches as a pastor since 2000 in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and now Georgia. She has served inner city congregations in Philadelphia and North Charleston, rural churches in Amish country of Pennsylvania and started a new church in Charleston that was a mix of online and in-person experiences during COVID. She is passionate about engaging young families and young adults, connecting with people who have been far away from faith, harmed by the church, curious about spirituality and skeptics. Seeking justice for all of God’s people has been her focus in ministry, along with a commitment to building communities where every human created can access the love of God through Jesus Christ, just as they are.
Wendy and her husband, Brian, have five children, all young adults. Their youngest, Anya, will move with them into the parsonage, and their other children - Ella, Wesley, Jackson and Amy - will be frequent visitors. In her free time, Wendy trains for triathlons, bakes cakes and pies, soaks up the sun outdoors and loves exploring new places.

Jared Register, DMA
Director of Music
Dr. Jared Register serves as Director of Music and Organist at Trinity United Methodist Church on historic Telfair Square in Savannah. Additionally, he is the Director of Choral Activities at Savannah Arts Academy, where he leads the choral program and teaches a variety of music courses.
An accomplished teacher, clinician, and church musician, Dr. Register maintains an active schedule across the state. His scholarly interests include the motivations to sing, choral classroom management, integrating aural skills into rehearsals, and rehearsal pedagogy. He has served as a clinician and conductor at several Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) In-Service Conferences.
Before his tenure in Savannah, Dr. Register attended UGA, where he served as a graduate teaching assistant, instructor, and received multiple awards for outstanding teaching. He has also taught middle school choir and general music, directed community musical theater, and held various church music positions throughout the state.
Dr. Register holds graduate degrees in music education and choral conducting, including a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Georgia and a Master of Music (MM) from Georgia Southern University. He is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association, the Georgia Music Educators Association, and the National Association for Music Education.

David Rigsby
Organist
David Rigsby joined the Trinity Church family as Staff Organist in July 2026. A lifelong musician, David has devoted his career to sharing the joy of music through performance, education, and worship.
Originally from the Detroit area, he later attended college in Southern California. Throughout his career, David has served as a pianist and organist in churches across the country, maintained a private piano studio, and spent twenty-five years as a choral music educator in the Long Beach and Anaheim, California public school districts.
An accomplished choral singer, David performed for twenty-one years with the Grammy Award-winning Pacific Chorale of Orange County. Since relocating to Savannah in late 2024, he has continued his passion for choral singing as a member of the Savannah Philharmonic Chorus. David is grateful to serve the Trinity congregation and looks forward to enriching its worship through music.

Lacy Wilson
Church Administrator
Lacy Wilson joined the Trinity UMC staff as Church Administrator in June 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience in church business operations, employment management, finance administration and church music. Originally from Middle Tennessee and a lifelong United Methodist, Lacy served on staff at her home church, Madison Street UMC in Clarksville, TN, from 2010 to 2023. She has been active in lay staff roles in various capacities, with various congregations since 1983, and is the co-founder of The Madison Street Music & Arts Academy.
Lacy is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with degrees in Allied Health & Dental Hygiene, with nearly 40 years of expertise in patient care and practice administration that offers sound basis in serving congregations and the life of the church. Lacy is married to Rev. Jared Wilson, Minister of Music & Worship at Isle of Hope UMC, has two adult daughters, and is extremely grateful to serve at Trinity UMC.

Dawn Wilson
Director of Children's Ministries
Dawn Wilson serves as the Director of Trinity’s Children’s Ministries and has worked in Children’s Ministries for over 10 years as both staff and volunteer. She previously worked at Epworth UMC in Columbus, GA as both their Children’s Director and Communications Specialist. To better serve both children and their families, she became a Certified Lay Minister in 2020 and a Stephen Minister in 2023. Dawn loves working with all of the children and watching them blossom in their faith as they grow into amazing young adults!
Dawn and her husband Millard have been married since 1996 and they love to travel, having visited 49 of the 50 states traveling cross-country by car and tent camping along the way! She believes in the importance of getting away and disconnecting from the world for a while to refresh and renew your spirit.
From Dawn: “I work with some amazing people who lovingly teach the lessons I plan and go along with whatever crazy plan I come up with, which includes wearing costumes and pajamas! I plan various fun events throughout the year for both children and parents alike so as to nurture the well being of the family as a whole unit. We’d love for your family to join us.”

Ava Pickens
Coordinator of Youth Ministries
Ava Pickens serves as our Youth Coordinator, helping us develop our new Youth program, starting in summer 2025! She is passionate about helping our students grow in their faith, and is already beloved by our children through her work with Children's Ministries. Although this is her first role working directly with youth, she brings five years of experience in children’s ministry, faithfully serving in the nursery and creating welcoming, nurturing spaces for young children and families.
Ava is excited to partner with our youth and their families to create a safe, Christ-centered environment where students can grow closer to God and to one another. She is currently a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), studying Production Design, and brings creativity, dedication, and a heart for ministry to everything she does.
All youth in grades 6 - 12 are invited to be part of our Youth Group or UMYF which meets every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM in the Youth Room/Youth Lounge (on the third floor, left side of main stairwell). This group offers an opportunity for youth to have fun, build new relationships, perform service in the community and beyond, and grow in their faith in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Amy Utley
Director of Discipleship Ministries
Amy Utley serves as the Director of Discipleship Ministries at Trinity UMC, joining the staff in Summer 2025. Amy brings a deep commitment to spiritual formation and community building as well as extensive prior experience in a similar role as Director of Adult Ministries and Christian Education at Skidaway Island Methodist Church. She holds a Christian Education Certificate from Columbia College, a Certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary, and is currently completing a two-year “Spirituality in Practice” program through The Upper Room Academy for Spiritual Formation, pursuing certification in Spiritual Direction. Amy oversees our adult discipleship ministries—including Sunday School, small groups, short-term Bible studies, and more as she assists in the development of existing and new ministries at Trinity UMC.
Cale Hall
Chaplain Resident
Cale Robert Hall serves as the Resident Chaplain at Trinity United Methodist Church, bringing a deep well of pastoral and clinical experience shaped by his chaplaincy work at Emory Midtown, Emory Behavioral Health, and with the homeless population in the streets of downtown Savannah. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, with a focus on spiritual health, pastoral care, and biblical interpretation. This doctoral work in biblical interpretation complements his Master of Theology and Master of Theological Studies in Global Religions, further grounding his ministry in thoughtful, contextual engagement with Scripture.
In addition to his ministry, Cale holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management, a Master of Advanced Leadership, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Management. He has also been a dedicated business owner in Savannah for over 38 years. Across both his professional and pastoral vocations, Cale’s passion for community, healing, and inclusion of all remains central to his work. He is honored to walk alongside others in their spiritual journeys and believes deeply in the transformative power of grace, compassion, and shared story.
In addition to his ministry, Cale holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management, a Master of Advanced Leadership, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Management. Hannah Hoffman
Director of Communications
Hannah Hoffman joined Trinity as the Communications Director in March 2024, managing the online presence, event promotion, graphic design and online communications for the church. Previously the Communications Director for First UMC in Killeen, Texas from 2019 to 2022, she moved with her husband Matt from Killeen, Texas to Fort Stewart, Georgia in Fall 2020, following the Army. Hannah, Matt, and their son William began attending Trinity in-person at the beginning of 2024, after following the church online for the previous year, and excitedly joined the church in Spring 2024, with William and Hannah both being baptized at Trinity later that Summer. She serves with the desire to help everyone feel welcome at Trinity, whether they're joining an event in-person or online.
Originally from Allen, Texas, Hannah has over a decade of experience in small business, non-profit, and especially UMC church-focused PR, marketing and communications. She holds a BA in Public Relations with a minor in Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. With a passion for clear communication, strategic planning, branding and digital media, Hannah also does freelance book publicity and small business social media setup and branding.

DeBria Robinson
Digital Ministries Technician
DeBria Robinson works as Trinity's Digital Ministries Technician, managing our online service livestream and audio/visual needs during services and events, as well as editing our videos and shorts for social media.
DeBria is a native of Eastover, SC, and she holds a degree in film/media studies from the University of SC, where she graduated in 2019. She is truly passionate about perfecting her skills as a cinematographer, working for Red Eye Film Productions for nearly 5 years as their Lead Editor.
DeBria enjoys editing, writing, boxing, tennis, painting, bowling, and watching movies!

Millard Wilson
Facilities Manager
A service technician for over 27 years, Millard keeps the Trinity building running. If you can find him on a Sunday morning, he'll be setting things up, breaking them down, and generally being the support behind the scenes throughout all Trinity's services and events.
