Rev Ben Gosden

Senior Pastor

Reverend Ben Gosden was appointed to Trinity Church in June 2016. He is the proud husband of Katie and father of Olivia and Sam. He is originally from Columbus, GA. Ben graduated from Columbus State University in 2008 with a degree in Political Science. He then went to Emory University's Candler School of Theology to earn his M.Div degree.  Ben's passions for ministry are preaching, missions and justice ministry, and community organizing. He works for and dreams of a church where all are welcomed and where all reach out in concern to the world around us to share love, grace, and mercy. He is currently studying to earn his Doctorate of Ministry from Candler School of Theology where his emphasis is leadership and community witness. His thesis project is focusing on leadership through online ministry.

Jared Register, DMA

Director of Music

Following over a decade of successes in education and church music, Dr. Jared Register has established a well-respected dual career as both a conductor and church musician. He serves as Director of Choral Studies at Savannah Arts Academy, where he co-directs a comprehensive choral program of six choirs and teaches courses in music history and aural skills. Concurrent with his classroom duties, he also serves as Director of Music and Organist at Trinity United Methodist Church in Savannah, Georgia.

Raised in Conyers, Georgia, Jared’s earliest musical studies were at the piano with accompanying and conducting studies beginning in high school. He furthered his study of piano, organ, and choral music at Brewton-Parker College (B.Mus.Ed.), at Georgia Southern University (M.Mus.), and at The University of Georgia’s Hodgson School of Music (D.M.A.), where he received a full scholarship and several outstanding teaching awards.

Since 2017, Dr. Register has focused his energies on choral competitions, invitational performances, and conference presentations leading to a first prize win at Southern Invitational 2019 and GMEA conference performance and presentation in 2020. He is an active member of Georgia Music Educators Association and American Choral Directors Association.
