Small Groups

The church doesn’t happen in rows. The church happens in circles.

Trinity Church has a variety of Small Groups for you to join. A wide range of interests, phases of life and steps along your faith journey. Some are short term, and others have been coming together for a long time.

United Women In Faith (previously United Methodist Women)
The United Women in Faith organization was formed over 150 years ago by a group of Methodist women in Boston. In what would become a lasting legacy of “showing up and getting things done,” they organized the Methodist Woman’s Foreign Missionary Society (WFMS), an organization that through the years, joined with other organizations to form the UMW in 1972. Our mission is to help and encourage women and children regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The Trinity UMW meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month in the Fellowship Hall, right after the 11:00 AM church service. All women of the church can be a part of the UMW. When meeting at the church, we share a meal together before the meeting begins. Our families and spouses are always invited to join us for the meal!

Purpose: We seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities.

Smith Small Group
The Smith Small Group meets Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM on the 3rd floor. Take a left off of the elevator and it's the room to the right. We question, discuss and learn from one another as we study topics of faith and discipleship. Our goal is to grow into deep, authentic relationships with God, with one another and with the community.

Upper Room Devotional Discussion Group
The Upper Room Devotional group meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. It's open to people of all ages, stages, and backgrounds. Participants read the Upper Room Devotional daily and come on Sundays to discuss what they've read and to listen to each other's reflections.

Band of Mothers
This small group is designed to provide a supportive network to the mothers (of all ages!) of our congregation through fellowship, book studies, service projects, and fun outings. The group meets monthly September through May. Reach out to co-chairs Katie Gosden (706-575-1787) or Jessica Hensley (912-596-1159) with any questions!

Other Small Groups

Throughout the year we offer a variety of short term or periodic Small Groups, some are book studies, college aged gatherings, etc. Stay tuned here for opportunities to join a Short Term Small Group!

Justice Talks
Justice Talks is a small group that meets periodically to learn and reflect on the diversity of Christ's Creation. We facilitate this through the study of books, documentaries, podcasts, or art on wide-ranging topics like Race, Disability, Sexuality, Gender, Homelessness, and Poverty. Learn all about the current happenings with Justice Talks here.
